CourseForum 2.3 Now Available
Released 7/2/2003.
CourseForum Technologies has introduced CourseForum 2.3, its web-based
software for e-learning content creation, sharing and discussion.
Easier to use and more interactive than conventional forum software,
CourseForum provides a painless, straightforward and flexible solution
for posting and sharing course materials, class discussions, and
student collaboration. It can be used for lecture notes, Q&A;, discussion
topics, research, student portfolios, group projects and more.
CourseForum is hosted on Mac OS X, Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP, Linux or
other Unixes, while users need only their existing web browser on
any platform. The fast host installation and easy web browser interface
lets you get started in minutes, so everyone can quickly contribute.
Powerful features like attachments, access control, complete revision
history, user tracking, and multiple course support ensure an effective
and secure learning environment.
Version 2.3 is a major update. An RSS feed is now available in every forum,
allowing changes to be easily tracked using popular news aggregator software
such as NetNewsWire, NewzCrawler, or AmphetaDesk. The appearance and layout
of pages has been simplified to make navigation even easier, while a new
feature makes it easier to refer to pages in other courses or projects.
Several new formatting features were also added, and several other bug fixes
and enhancements are included.
Until the end of the July, for every license purchased at the regular price,
customers will receive a license to use the software for a second course.
Licenses are available starting from US$79, and a free version is also
available.
