CourseForum/ProjectForum 3.5 Add New Campus/Enterprise Licensing Options for Larger Sites
Released 4/19/2004.
CourseForum Technologies is pleased to announce the immediate
availability of both CourseForum 3.5 and ProjectForum 3.5, its
professional and easy-to-use web software for business and
educational collaboration.
The products provide a focus for group work and collaboration, helping
to move documents and projects forward fast. The wiki-style forums
fill the gap between the scattered flurry of email and the time and
expense of meetings or teleconferences. Whether used for project
teams, intranets, or to complement educational offerings, the software
ensures that everyone can actively and directly contribute.
Version 3.5 introduces a major new licensing option, suitable for larger
sites. With Campus licensing (CourseForum) and
Enterprise licensing
(ProjectForum), licenses are based on the number of registered users.
There are no limits on number of groups or courses, and a "single signin"
feature allows the same account to be used everywhere, given the necessary
access. Campus licenses start at US$500 per year (250 users), while
Enterprise licenses start at US$1000 per year (150 users).
The existing per-course or per-group licensing model is still
available, and offers the flexibility of no user limits and the option to
allow either registered or unregistered users, controlled in each forum.
Several smaller enhancements and fixes are also included in these
versions. For a detailed list
of changes, see either the ProjectForum Changes
or CourseForum Changes page.
Easy to learn and use, both CourseForum and ProjectForum can be hosted
on Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, while users need only a standard
web browser. Standard licenses are available starting from US$89 (US$229
for ProjectForum), and free "lite" versions of both products are available.
Fully hosted options are also avaiable starting from US$15/month.
