ProjectForum/CourseForum 5.0 Released
Released 5/3/2006.
WATERLOO, Ont. - CourseForum Technologies is pleased to announce
the immediate availability of ProjectForum 5.0, a major new release of its
professional and easy-to-use wiki collaboration software.
ProjectForum is software that makes it easy for a team of people to
work together. Whether your team members are across the room or across
the globe, ProjectForum lets you share ideas, documents, schedules and
status. Share and discuss your work online, privately and securely.
ProjectForum is as powerful and secure as traditional collaboration
software. It features full version control, group project
support, multiple authentication options, image and file management,
page templates, SSL, full branding support, multiple forums, and much more.
But ProjectForum is affordable, easy to set up, easy to learn, and
easy to use, for any workgroup.
Version 5.0 is a major update that includes dozens of improvements.
The OS X version is now available as a Universal binary for improved
performance on Intel Macs. Slideshow support is now directly integrated,
via the open source S5 software. A major update to the internal runtime
engine brings increased performance and reliability. Many other smaller
features and enhancements are also included.
ProjectForum is available either as a fully managed hosted service,
or as software that can be downloaded and run in-house, without
the complex installation and maintenance headaches inherent in
most wiki or web server software. Anyone can have ProjectForum running
in a matter of minutes, with no webmaster, no code, and no IT help needed.
Versions are available for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and other Unixes, while
users of the software need only a standard web browser.
ProjectForum hosting starts at US$20 a month, while downloadable
versions start at US$249. A free version is also available.
